Gr2 titanium wire production process

The production of Gr2 Polished Titanium Wire is based on refining pure titanium ingots. The main process flows include:

Smelting: The arc melting method is used to smelt refined titanium ingots with aluminum and vanadium elements into alloy ingots containing specified components;

Rolling: Use a rolling mill to roll alloy ingots into alloy strips of different specifications;

Forging: The alloy lath is made to obtain excellent density through forging;

Annealing: anneal the forged alloy to adjust its Metallographic structure and optimize its mechanical properties;

Drawing: Using multi-process wire drawing technology, the alloy is made into small wires;

Surface treatment: Finally, polishing or surface coating is used to improve the corrosion resistance of the titanium wire.

The production of Gr2 titanium wire has very high requirements on equipment and process control. It is necessary to ensure uniform alloy composition, dense structure and excellent mechanical properties. Modern Gr2 titanium wire production has a high degree of automation and can achieve large-scale production.
